General information about the university Jagiellonian University, founded in 1364, is one of the oldest universities in Europe. It is strong in medicine, biology, humanities, and law. Admission International applicants need a high school diploma and proof of English proficiency (IELTS 6.0–6.5 or TOEFL 80–90). For medicine and science programs, the CISIA test or competitive exam may be required. Applications are submitted online, sometimes including an interview.
